Our ‘Healthy Ways – old ways are our future ways’ campaign continues in CEQ stores, encouraging communities to enjoy Fruit & Veg Every Day!

This theme encourages community members to make fruit and vegetables a regular part of everyday meals and celebrates the variety and goodness found in colourful produce.

For generations, fruits and vegetables have played an important role in nourishing families and supporting community wellbeing. Whether grown at home, or purchased in store, fruit and vegetables remain an important part of a healthy diet and support families to stay healthy and active throughout every stage of life.

In store, this theme comes to life through Healthy End displays featuring canned fruit and vegetables, cooking equipment and easy recipe ideas that inspire healthy meals at home.

The campaign is also supported by vibrant fresh produce displays our store teams work hard to create in stores all year-round. Customers will also get the chance to enter exciting prize draws, including seasonal fruit and vegetable boxes and a major prize trip to Cairns with VIP Taipans tickets, proudly supported by Simon George & Sons.

Born from many rich conversations with our First Nations team members at CEQ and our customers, the campaign reflects a shared desire to see more promotion of healthier choices in our stores.

When discussing healthy lifestyles, many people spoke proudly of their ancestors and how they lived strong, healthy lives through traditional practices and connections to land, food, and family.

These stories inspired the campaign’s name: Healthy Ways – Old Ways Are Our Future Ways, honouring traditional knowledge of health and bringing it to the heart of our campaign.

CEQ are working to create healthier store environments and promote health for our customers through a range of actions including refreshing store layouts and strengthening the availability and affordability of healthy products.

Working together with these actions, this campaign aims to highlight these healthy products in store – making healthy ways easier to see and choose.
